Kristen Legan and Christa Ghent to race USA Pro Challenge

Congrats to team riders Kristen Legan and Christa Ghent for being included in the inaugural women’s USA Pro Challenge event this August.

Kristen will race on a composite women's team organized by the Colorado Women’s Cycling Project and Spark Women’s Racing, Ltd.

“I'm thrilled and honored to take part in the inaugural Women's USA Pro Challenge and represent my home state of Colorado at this fantastic event. It's exciting to bring together six Colorado cyclists from various local teams to race together as Colorado Women's Cycling Project p/b SPARK Women's Racing. This is an amazing opportunity to showcase the supportive Colorado cycling community and our commitment to developing women's cycling at all levels,” said Kristen.

Christa will ride for the Amy D. Foundation team, which will be led by fellow Boulder resident Mara Abbott, who led the team to victory earlier this year at the Tour of the Gila. If you'd like to support the Amy D. team, check out their Rally Me page.

"I'm really honored to be racing with the Amy D. Foundation," said Christa. "This foundation has been able to do something really inspiring in memory of the loss of a good soul. It is going to be a tough race, but thanks to my Evol team members I've been preparing all year. I cannot wait to race on the big stage in front of my home state!"

The race will run August 21-23 and will include a stage 1 time trial in Breckenridge, a long road race from Loveland to Fort Collins, and concludes with a circuit race in Golden on Sunday.
