Twice as Nice

At first glance, one might be bummed to race the same course two days in a row. But this year, at the New Belgium Cup U.S. Gran Prix, we might as well have hopped a plane Saturday night and flown across the country for Sundays race--they were that different.

Saturday was brutal. Peanut-butter mud, temps in the low-40s and a field of bloodthirsty national-caliber racers made for a painful endeavor. It was a mixed bag for us at P2P. Scott broke his derailleur right off the bat (one of the disadvantages of his uber-ridiculous wattage), and we all struggled through the nasty conditions.

The next day, however, was our time to shine. We were stoked on a dry, tacky track, and across the board, we put in solid races. Spencer hung in to finish on the lead lap, despite a last-row call-up, and the rest of the boys were solidly ensconced in mid-pack finishes. More good stuff to come folks. We're in the heart of the season now, and it is GAME ON!
