EVOL DevoElite Cyclocross Team Signs Young Global Wealth Strategies as a presenting sponsor for 2016/17 Cyclocross Season
Boulder, CO – October 6,
2016 – The EVOL DevoElite Cyclocross Team is proud to welcome Young GlobalWealth Strategies Inc., a Boulder, Colorado-based financial planning and wealth
management firm, as a new presenting sponsor to the burgeoning cyclocross program.
Now in its sixth season, the team continues to support elite level racing for
both men and women while also focusing on the development of U23 riders Maxx
Chance, Ian McPherson and Eric Brunner.
The additional support from
Young Global Wealth Strategies will continue to enhance the strength and size
of the race program for the development riders to travel outside of Boulder to
participate in higher level racing.
“We are truly excited to
have Young Global Wealth Strategies as part of the EVOL DevoElite racing family,”
says Grant Holicky, Director Sportif. “John was himself a high-level
collegiate athlete and is acutely aware of the sacrifices and commitments
required to reach the highest level of sport. His support will be crucial in
the development of our U23 athletes.”
Only a month into the start
of the 2016/17 season, the EVOL development team has already produced commendable
results. Chance, 20-years old, recently stood atop his first UCI podium when he
scored back-to-back third places at Nittany Lion CX in Pennsylvania. The devo
rider backed up his fine form with a win in Boulder at the Amy D. Foundation BreakingBarriers Cyclocross Race several weeks later.
“As a Boulder native I appreciate
the Colorado lifestyle, which includes healthy nutrition and a commitment to
physical activity for both health and well-being,” says John Young, founder of
Young Global Wealth Strategies. “I was a competitive swimmer growing up and a
Division I swimmer at the University of Southern California. After graduation I
coached swimming, including several Olympic athletes. I continue to swim and have
participated in triathlons, surfing and recreational skiing. I admire the
competitive spirit and am happy to sponsor the EVOL DevoElite cyclocross team.”
“One focus of my financial
planning practice is to coach clients to attain their financial goals,” continues
Young. “At Young Global Wealth Strategies, we enjoy working with both amateur
and professional athletes.”
The EVOL elite team is also
on a roll with multiple podiums across both the men’s and women’s teams. ChristaGhent claimed her first elite win at the CYCLO X Harlow Platts a couple weeks
ago, while Melissa Barker has stood on the podium three times in the last
month. Josh Whitney, team manager, has snagged four podium
places in his hometown area of Salt Lake City and a fifth podium at the
prestigious CrossVegas 1-2-3 race.
